Itinerary Details :
Day 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu and
transfer to hotel
Day 02 :
Kathmandu City Tour (Optional)
Full or half day exploring some of the sights of
Kathmandu, such as the Pashupatinath Temple,
Boudhanath, Swayambhu, and Kathmandu durbar square,
Patan Durbar square, Bhaktapur Durbar square).
Day 03 :
Flight to Lukla - Trek to Phakding (2,610m)
The short flight (30 min) is awe-inspiring as we fly
parallel to the Himalayan giants bordering Nepal and
Tibetan China. Upon arrival in Lukla, there will be
time to explore the village whilst the Sherpa crew
sort and load equipment. Once ready, we start a
short trek descending on a wide trail northwest to
the village of Choblung in the Dudh Kosi Valley. The
valley contains beautiful pine and rhododendron
forest. The walking is easy and we follow the
river's course, passing through the village of Ghat.
After 3 hours we reach the village of Phakding.
Day 04 : Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,535m)
From Phakding we head up valley on a busy trail,
with porters from the lower Solu district in the
south carrying supplies to Namche, and Sherpa's with
their half yak, half cow beasts "Zopkpo" taking
trekking and climbing expedition equipment to the
higher valleys. We continue along beside the Dudh
Kosi through beautiful alpine scenery - fragrant
blue pine and fir forest, glimpsing spectacular
views of Kusum Kangru (6,369m) and Thanserku
(6,608m) along the way. Crossing the Dudh Kosi again
to the western bank at Jorsale, we make our way to
the entrance to the Sagamartha (Everest) National
Park. Continuing upstream along the banks to the
meeting of the Bhote Kosi and Dudh Kosi, it is here
we begin our first sustained ascent to Namche Bazar
after crossing the large suspension bridge. Walking
at a slow pace, we have a fantastic photographic
opportunities as the peaks of Everest (8,848m),
Lhotse (8,511m), Nuptse (7,879m), Arna Dablam
(6,856m) and Taweche (6,542m) come into view for the
first time. Climbing again, the path takes us
through pine trees to reach the village of Namche
Bazar.
Day 05 :
Acclimatisation day in Namche Bazaar
Today is an all important full day to rest and
acclimatise. Namche is famous for its local
market,as each week Sherpa's from the surrounding
villages come to buy food and to socialise. Any food
not grown locally, such as rice, corn and some
vegetables is brought in from the lowland villages,
which can be up to a 6-10 day walk from Namche
Bazar. Rising early, those who climb to the ridge
above Namche will be rewarded with the stunning dawn
and sunrise over the panorama of the Khumbu peaks.
In the afternoon you can walk along the Thami
Valley, or visit the National Park Headquarters to
see the interesting displays of Sherpa lifestyle and
culture, mountaineering in the park, flora and
fauna.
Day 06: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,850)
From Namche we trek out of the village and follow a
small trail high above the Dudh Kosi River, where
the views are incredible - behind to the west, the
ridge of Nupla and Kwangde Himal (6,194m); across
the valley to the south, the towering ice walls of
Thamserku (6,623m), and to the east at the head of
the valley, the Lhotse and Nuptse wall, towering a
full 3,500m above the valley at Dingboche. Everest
looms above the ridge, a black, triangular rock.
Sagarmatha, "Goddess Mother of Earth", is a truly
magnificent sight. On a small ridge across the
valley, the monastery of Thyangboche can be seen, a
small speck against the gigantic mountain
background. We descend to the village of
Shanasa and on to Trashinga where the trail drops
steeply to cross the Dudh Kosi at Phukitenga
(3,250m). In the late morning we climb steeply
before the trail levels out to ascend gradually
towards Tengboche. It is a steady ascent of
approximately 2 ½ hours through pine fir, black
juniper and rhododendron forest. Tengboche is set in
a beautiful meadow, high on a ridge surrounded by
towering Himalayan peaks. A peaceful, tranquil
position the Thyangboche Monastery is a wonderful
sight, spectacularly situated.
Day 07 : Tengboche to Dingboche (4,350m)
From Tengboche we descend through a forest of birch,
fir, juniper and rhododendron to the nunnery at
Deboche. Keep an eye open for Blood and Danphe
Pheasant, and high on the steep slopes of the valley
Himalayan Thar (wild goats). Crossing the Imja
Khola, we ascend gradually, with the beautiful Ama
Dablam dominating the skyline, to visit the
monastery. In the afternoon the trek follows a trail
high above the Imja Khola. A little further upstream
we cross the tributary and ascend over glacial
moraines to Dingboche.
Day 08 : Acclimatisation Day in Dingboche
Today we have another all important acclimatisation
day. This is best spent by going for a walk higher
up the valley before descending back to Dingboche to
sleep. We will head up the valley towards Chukung.
The views are fantastic; the towering south face of
Lhotse to the north, Island Peak in the centre of
the valley, and the fluted ice-walls of unnamed
peaks that line the southern end of the valley form
a hauntingly beautiful sight. It may be possible to
reach Chhukung Ri (5,546m). From there, we can
observe the world's fifth highest mountain Makalu,
before descending back to Dingboche.
Day 09 : Dingboche to Lobuche (4,950m)
Trekking well above the tree line your journey
todays brings us to Dusa, from where we descend to a
stream at 4,850m. We begin our climb of the Khumbu
Glacier route to Dughla. We continue along the
moraine of the glacier, with views of KalarPattar
and Pumori to reach Lobuche at 4,930m for our
evening stay. Take time to rest and acclimatise,
ready for the next two unforgettable days.
Day 10 : Lobuche to Ghorakshep
(5,160m) to Kala Pattar (5,630m)
Above Lobuche, we follow the path running through a
trough alongside the Khumbu Glacier. Continuing on
over rough ground we reach Ghorakshep for a short
break and to take on fluids. We will stay overnight
here, so we can leave some bags, and take the path
onwards for an hour and a half to Kala Pattar, a
small, rocky peak on the southwest ridge of Pumori -
a slow, steady pace, once again being the best
attack. We have no need to rush as we have built in
plenty of time to ensure that our trek is
successful. Stop and turn around: the scenery is
fantastic. It is a hard climb, but the view from the
top surpasses the wildest imagination. Huge creaking
glaciers surround us and classic views of Everest
are available.
The views from the summit of Kala Pattar (5,630m)
are truly outstanding. Here you are directly below
Pumo Ri's light granite, slanted snow channel. The
surroundings have an awesome and unnatural
brilliance. To the south, the Khumbu Glacier sweeps
below you; northwards rise several border peaks
including the vertical Lho La, reached from the
Tibetan side in 1921, the first time foreigners saw
the Khumbu Glacier. Everest rises above them all.
We descend in the afternoon back to Ghorakshep
(5,160m).
Day 11 : Trek to Everest Base Camp (5,400m)
After leaving Ghorakshep in the morning, today we
finally reach Everest Base Camp. The ending point of
EBC Trek is this place but whoever the people doing
Everest Expedition in Nepal will acclimatized here
for more days to Climbing the Everest. We will have
plenty of time to explore and wonder in this place -
hope to so many famous expeditions and mountaineers
from around the world. We descend again to
Ghorakshep in the afternoon.
Day 12 : Trek down to Pheriche (4,240m)
Today is an easier walk to the lower altitudes.
Following the same route back to the terminal
moraines at Dughla, we then take a different return
trail. We follow the wide alpine valley covered in
scrub juniper through the temporary settlement of
Phulung Karpo (4,343m), then on to Pheriche. A small
settlement, Pheriche has a number of welcome tea
house that often have "left overs" for sale from
various climbing expeditions. It may be possible to
find imported chocolate, tinned salmon, even
vegemite!
Day 13 : Pheriche to Namche Bazaar
This morning we continue down to Orsho, then on
through Lower Pangboche and down to Deboche.
Following a similar trail through a forest of
juniper, rhododendron and fir to Phunkitenga, we
continue on to cross the Dudh Kosi for a steep
descent to Trashinga. After lunch at Shanasa we make
our way back to Namche Bazar.
Day 14 :
Namche Bazaar to Lukla
Following a steep descent passing the Bhote Kosi, we
cross the river and follow the bank to Jorsale, then
on to Monjo. In the afternoon we depart Monjo and
continue our descent along the Dudh Kosi, before
making a final ascent to reach the Lukla plateau. On
arrival in Lukla we will have time to relax and
celebrate the completion of our trek.
Day 15 :
Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu
In the morning we transfer to the small airfield for
the return flight back to Kathmandu. We will
transfer you to your hotel, arriving before lunch,
and have the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 16 : Leisure Day in Kathmandu
Today is all yours - perhaps shop for those
souvenirs. It is also a spare day in case we have
bad weather along any stage of our trek, to ensure
it has been a success.
Day 17 :
Departure Day - Transfer to the airport for you
onward flight.

Annapurna Circuit Trekking- 14 to 23 Days
The
Annapurna region is probably the best known, and
most popular trekking area in Nepal - and not
without good reason, containing the massive peak of
Annapurna 1, which at 8,091m is one of the eight
highest mountains in the world.
The
Annapurna Circuit Trek is as highly praised and
spectacular as any in the region, and gives an
unsurpassed experience of trekking in the Annapurna
Conservation Area. People also called Round
Annapurna Trekking for this Annapurna Circuit Trek.
Most of Annapurna Trekking starts from Pokhara and
some fly to Manang. As well as some poeple made this
Annapurna Trekking by Flight to Jomsom. There are 3
main options for trekking here - the 21 Day full
Circuit, the 14 day half circuit from Besishahar to
Jomson, and the 11 day half circuit from Nayapul to
Muktinath - the Jomson Trek. The last part of the
full circuit is the effectively the Jomson Trek in
reverse. This Treks is Meaningfull for the people
who want to do 21 Days Trekking in Nepal. And also
for 14 Days Trekking in Nepal.
The full
three week trek starts from Besishahar and goes
along the Marshyangdi River, with great view of
Manashlu and Himal Chuli to the east. This
magnificent trek leads you through villages
inhabited by a wide diversity of people from
different ethnic groups, offering spectacular and
majestic view of the white Himalayas. As it
continues to the north of the main Himalayan range
on to the high and dry Tibetan Plateau, the scenery
is equally breathtaking.
The
highest point of the trek is Thorung la pass
at the top of the valley at 5,416m high, and it is
due to the difficulties of crossing this pass that
the circuit is usually walked in a counter clockwise
direction. As we descend to the west at Muktinath
from Manang, we continue to the the barren Tibetan
like village of the KaliGandaki - the world's
deepest gorge passes between the giant Annapurna and
Dhaulagiri mountains. Then it's on to the hot springs
at Tatopani for a good soak, before heading up to
the stunning viewpoint at Poon Hill (3,195m).
Itinerary:
Day 01:
Arrival at Kathmandu ? transfer to hotel.
Day 02:
Drive Kathmandu to Besishahar (790m). 6 ? 7 hours
About 5
hours scenic drive by car / van / bus. O/N at
Guesthouse.
Day 03:
Besishahar to Bahundanda (1310m).
The route
follows the Marshyangdi River upstream, crossing a
long suspension bridge and passing a beautiful, thin
waterfall with a fine bathing pool. We ascend to the
town of Bahundanda, which means ?Brahman Hill?.
There are good views to the north and a little-known
hot spring here.
Day 04:
Bahundanda to Chamje (1400m).
The gorge
becomes narrower as we cross a cantilever bridge
followed by a suspension bridge. We pass a few small
settlements along the route and Chamje, the
destination for the day, is one of them. Having
traveled upstream, we observe many changes in the
people, architecture and vegetation. Houses are now
built of rocks, the vegetation is less tropical and
the culture more Tibetan-like.
Day 05:
Chyamje to Bagarchhap (2160m).
Leaving
Chamje, the gorge becomes more impressive. We cross
into the district of Manang and see more Bhotia
people. These are primarily agro-pastoralists and
the real trans-Himalayan traders of the region. The
route climbs gradually to the town of Bagarchap
meaning (butcher?s place). The houses here have flat
roofs, indicating that there is less rainfall here
than the south. There is a temple here worth
visiting, and views of the Annapurna's and the
Lamjung Himal.
Day 06:
Bagarchap to Chame (2630m).
With
often rough and rocky, the trail climbs to Timang at
2360m, & then continues through forest, but near the
river, to Kopar at 2590m. As we reach the Chame, the
headquarters of the Manang district, we are rewarded
by the fine views of Annapurna II as you approach
Chame & two small hot springs by the town.
Day 07:
Chame to Pisang (3300m).
The day
starts through deep forest in a steep and narrow
valley, crosses a river on a long bridge at 2910m.
We then cross another bridge at 3040m, from there
the view of the soaring Paungda Danda rock face
really begins to appear. From there the trail joins
to climb to Pisang, which sprawls between 3200m &
3300m.
Day 08: Pisang
to Manang (3500m).
Today we
continue through the drier upper part of the Manang
district, cut off from the full effect of the
monsoon by the Annapurna Range. People of this
region, herd yaks & raise crops for part of the year
besides, they also continue to enjoy special trading
rights gained way back in 1784.
Leaving
Pisang, we have an alternate trails north and south
of the Marshyangdi River which meet up again at
Mungji. The southern route by Hongde, with its
airstrip, at 3325m involves less climbing than the
northern route via Ghyaru, though there are better
views on the trail that follows the northern bank of
the river, and chances to watch the eagles soar.
From Mungji, the trail continues past the
picturesque but partially hidden village of Bryanga
at 3475m to nearby Manang at 3500m.
Day 09:
Manang - Acclimatization day
Today is
acclimatisation day, which is best spent being
active and climbing to higher elevations for views
but returning to lower altitudes to sleep. Manang
itself is in a spectacular location with many
attractions. There are lakes, caves, moraine-hills,
monasteries or local activities in town.
Day 10:
Manang to Ledar (4250m).
Today we
leave Manang, & the trail makes an ascent of nearly
2000m to the Thorung La pass. We make the climb
steadily through Tenki, leaving the Marshyangdi
Valley. Continuing along the Jarsang Khola Valley,
we reach Ledar at 4250m, there we see the
vegetation's steadily more sparse. This is snow
leopard area.
Day 11:
Ledar to Phedi or High camp (4600m).
The trail
descends to cross the river at 4310m we then climb
up to Phedi at 4420m. At High Camp at an elevation
of 4600m, we can find some good, recently built
Guesthouses. Your overnight stay will be there or at
Phedi depending on how the altitude is affecting
you.
Day 12:
Phedi or High Camp to Muktinath (3710m).
The trail
now leaves the river valley and climbs steadily over
lateral moraine. The pass, marked by a large cairn,
is the high point of our trek at 5416m. It is an
exhilarating geographical feature, dividing 2 mighty
Himalayan valleys. Far below to the west is the
Kaligandaki River. We descend in that direction for
the village of Muktinath, located in a poplar grove.
It is a sacred shrine and pilgrimage site for Hindus
and Buddhists.
Day 13:
Muktinath to Jomson (2713m)
From
Muktinath to Jomson, we see people from Mustang, a
restricted area to the north, who come to sell
handicrafts to pilgrims. Among their merchandise is
the highly-revered mollusk fossil called shaligram.
We will pass some ancient caves and see the
impressive white mountain that is Dhaulagiri. We
also transit at the significant town of Kagbeni,
which is at a junction of 2 rivers and the
north-south and east-west trading routes.
Day 14:
Jomson to Kalopani (2530m). End of 14 Day trek (fly
to Pokhara this morning).
We
descend to Marpha, a lovely village of whitewashed
houses and fertile fields, and continue down the
Kali gandaki reaching the former Thakali trading
centre of Tukche. As the trail continues, the
Himalayan rain shadow blends into coniferous forest,
and we reach the main river valley and Kalopani.
From here there are spectacular views of Dhaulagiri
and the Annapurna's.
Day 15:
Trek to Tatopani (1200m.)
A
